What's Happening on Capitol Hill & How Does BOMA International Work for You?

Emily Naden, Director of Federal Affairs, BOMA International, will be in town to share an update on federal issues BOMA International has been facing this year. With a new Congress in 2015, that means lots of changes, and many issues of critical importance to building owners and managers top the legislative wishlist. While Congress passed a one-year retroactive renewal of the tax extenders, other issues, such as energy and climate change, and  long-term tax issues will  receive more attention this year. Let's not forget the Industry Defense Fund (IDF) too which has helped our local in combating the local Mission Transportation Utility Fee Tax. The International Industry Defense Fund is instrumental in helping achieve critical advocacy successes and giving a voice to the commercial real estate industry.
