Joel Marquardt is a LEED accredited, licensed architect with Gastinger Walker Harden + BeeTriplett Buck. Marquardt has 23 years experience in architecture and engineering.

Besides providing Kansas City with designs such as the 87^th & I-35 interchange, Kansas City Board of Trade wheat sculpture and the Lenexa Spillway, Joel Marquardt is also an accessibility expert who works for Gastinger Walker Harden BeeTriplett Buck architects.  He has attained degrees in architecture, engineering and management as well as studied the law.  In relation to today’s topic, he has also provided and managed accessibility reviews for over 10 years including a 3-year federal lawsuit in coordination with the US Department of Justice. This one project involved over 60 facilities across the US, including noting 1500 items at just one location.  Joel considers his most important work in this area to devise low-cost accessibility solutions, thereby maximizing the likelihood of achieving more fully accessible facilities.
