Beth Dawson, LEED GA, Mid-America Regional Council, will be sharing a set of planning tools that MARC has been working on, which have been used on the current 6-corridors . 

Bio-Beth Dawson, LEED Green Associate, Associate AIA

Beth is a Senior Land Use Planner with the Mid-America Regional Council, MARC. Her work is focused on bringing together a broad cross-section of stakeholders to further regional sustainable development through the Creating Sustainable Places and the Planning Sustainable Places initiatives. She is involved in the development and use of planning tools including Envision Tomorrow, visualization and the Natural Resources Inventory. Her previous role at MARC was Solar Energy Project Manager for the Department of Energy’s Rooftop Solar Challenge grant that focused on reducing rooftop solar barriers. She managed the development of solar best management practices for both permit process and planning improvements along with the creation of financing mechanisms. Her interest and training in both sustainability and solar energy, were refined and solidified while studying architecture and holding fellowship positions at the University of Oregon.
